Fishing in the Mishicot Area

Fishing in the Mishicot area offers a wide variety of opportunities throughout the whole year. This list has been compiled by CUB Radio Fishing and Hunting reporters Bruce Grossheim and Roger Vander Logt.

Access to the East Twin River is available at most road crossings from Two Rivers to Tisch Mills. Be advised that almost all property along the river is private, but there are a few spots available to the fishing public. The Village of Mishicot has a wonderful village park with a walkway that allows fishermen access to the river for the following fish: trout, including steelhead, salmon, northern, and many other species. Fishing in the village park along the Riverwalk offers you a perfect chance to bring the whole family. Children can play on the playground equipment near the fishing area, while anglers catch their favorite fish.

Another good spot to access the East Twin is the village’s Vets Club Park, where, depending upon the time of year, you can catch bass, northern, catfish, bullheads, perch, and several species of trout. These fish can be caught all the way upriver to Tisch Mills.

Jambo Creek, a tributary of the East Twin River, is a Class II trout stream with excellent brown trout fishing. Free access is available at Jambo Creek Park, the Mishicot Sportsmen’s Club property.

Accessible fishing from footbridge over Jambo Creek (at Jambo Creek Park).

Come visit the Mishicot area’s wonderland of fishing hot spots.
